But what is existential psychotherapy, and primarily, what does it mean for the two of us? This was the crucial and initial question. However, as we began to meet and converse, we added new dimensions and questions.
Our dialogues were spontaneous and honest, and we always tried to enjoy the process without thinking too much about the outcome. Gradually, the sections of the book were created and various topics developed, such as the goals of psychotherapy, the psychotherapist as a person, the therapeutic relationship, the training of the psychotherapist, as well as existential themes: death, loneliness, meaning, freedom and responsibility, embodiment, authenticity, existential anxiety, and guilt, among others.
