Technicqll 91-460# construction adhesive paste is intended for materials operating at temperatures above 1,000 °C. It is used to repair, assemble and seal exhaust systems, such as manifolds and mufflers, as well as firebricks and metal or ceramic ducts. It is resistant to exhaust gases, diluted acids, water, chemicals and low temperatures.
For application, the surface must be damp, clean and thoroughly degreased. Remove rust with a wire brush, then sand with sandpaper and wash with clean water. At temperatures below 15 °C, warm the joint, for example with an electric hair dryer. For cracks or holes, place the heat-resistant mesh in the first layer and, once it has dried slightly, apply a second layer. Leave the exhaust system to cure for several hours; the process can be accelerated with an electric blower.
