This book presents fundamental and essential elements of the ancient Greek tragic view of the world and human life: the relationship of humanity and their lives with forces that lie beyond their control, known as supernatural or transcendent; the responsibility and contribution of humans in shaping their destiny; the values that define behavioral standards in personal and social life, as well as the painful consequences of neglecting these values.

Although our era seems to develop increasingly distant answers to existential and social issues compared to those of the worldviews of Greek tragedy, critical circumstances show that their 'wisdom' regarding life's great issues remains relevant and is confirmed in a dramatic and painful way. The present work aims to highlight exactly the value of this perspective for a deeper understanding of the adventure of human existence.
