The Sami Elsa is nine years old when she witnesses the murder of her reindeer calf. The perpetrator forces her to remain silent. She can do nothing and yet feels guilty towards her family and everyone close to her, as once again the police see no reason to investigate a crime. Elsa's reindeer is simply regarded as "stolen."
As the threat towards the Sami and their herds dramatically increases, and Elsa herself becomes a target of the main perpetrator, she finally finds the strength to confront her long-suppressed guilt, fear, and anger. But will she be able to do anything against the indifference of the authorities and the brutality of the perpetrators?
