Description

Suitable for 2-6 players, aged 8+

In Scotland Yard, one player takes on the role of Mr. X. His goal is to move from area to area on the map of London, using taxis or buses, as well as underground passages. I love this game since I was 10 years old, later I played it as a student, with friends, and now I am waiting for my older son (he is 6) to grow a little more so we can play it together! Both the role of Mr X and the detectives who are searching for him are exciting, and no two games of the same are ever the same, which is something I personally appreciate a lot in games... One of the best board games ever released!

Quite good for a family game for at least 4 people and children up to 12 years old.
I have played it with 2 people (ages around 8-12) but I think it's better with 4 because sometimes each "detective" can have a different idea than the others when searching for "Mister X" and this can change the outcome.

It's not one of those games that are exciting, but it's not a boring game either.

Its rules are very simple and its pieces are of high quality. 5-year-old children can understand it almost completely.

I consider it one of the classic family board games that becomes even better when the players manage to "transport" themselves into the game's scenario and feel the aura of London, the routes, the boat on the Thames, etc.

Note: Do not get the version for children unless you never intend to play with your children.
