The new version of the Mic 2 features updated transmitter units with 2.4 GHz digital wireless technology and Bluetooth technology. Bluetooth allows you to connect the transmitters to the DJI Mimo app via an iOS or Android device. You can even connect directly to the Osmo Pocket 3 or Osmo Action 4 camera. Switch between different settings through the Mimo app, such as smart noise cancellation, which reduces ambient noise for improved voice capture, or 32-bit float recording.
Content creators of all experience levels can enhance the production values of their videos, interviews, and streaming with the DJI Mic 2, an easy-to-use, truly wireless digital microphone/recording system that delivers live-quality audio by providing all the necessary elements to capture sound from your subject to a DSLR/mirrorless camera or iOS/Android smartphone. The system captures clear and reliable audio up to 250m via tiny clip-on omnidirectional microphones/transmitters, which also function as backup recording devices for hassle-free wireless operation. The tiny receiver can either be mounted on a DSLR camera or connected directly to the Lightning/USB port of a smartphone or laptop. Simply complete the initial setup and you can be ready to record quality audio in seconds.
Second Generation Updates

Portable and handheld microphones
- For a truly wireless experience, comfortably attach the transmitters to anything you wear via the built-in back clips (or using the clip magnets) without needing to wire yourself or your talent.
- You can also hold the transmitters in your hand and use them as handheld microphones. Use the transmitters as a lavalier microphone (no separate microphone needed) or operate them as traditional bodypack transmitters by connecting external lav mics (available separately).
- The built-in microphones feature a traditional pickup pattern that ensures reliable speech capture, even if the microphone placement is less than ideal. Your subject's voice is captured clearly, crisply, and consistently.
- Two furry windshields are provided to effectively suppress wind noise while capturing clear sound.
- Enjoy 6 hours of battery life on each unit for a total of 18 hours of recording.
High-quality sound with post-production flexibility
- The DJI Mic 2 allows you to record high-fidelity, professional audio by accurately reproducing the tone across a wide range of frequencies. To ensure you receive a clear signal, you can monitor your audio through the receiver's 3.5 mm headphone output during recording.
- The Safety Track feature enables you to record a secondary audio track (in mono) as a backup at a lower volume of -6 dB (different from the main audio track), helping to protect your audio in case of unexpected level spikes.
Built-in recorder and safety track
- The transmitters feature built-in recording capabilities with 8 GB of storage for up to 14 hours of backup recording at 48 kHz 24-bit. This allows you to record audio directly to the transmitters as a backup in case of wireless interference and dropouts. You can also use the transmitters as standalone recorders.
- The files are in mono WAV 48 kHz/24-bit format and can be transferred to your computer via the USB-C cable. Switch to 32-bit float recording via the Mimo app.
Reliable and secure wireless with encryption
- The DJI Mic 2 can record clear audio at distances up to 820' using DJI's encryption technology for secure communications.
- The optimized wireless transmission system ensures stable and reliable audio streaming, even in busy areas such as train stations, shopping malls, and offices.
- The system avoids interference from TV and radio waves by operating in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, which occupies frequencies beyond those of TV, radio broadcasts, and UHF wireless microphone systems.
Easy to operate
- The receiver features a built-in, expanded OLED touch screen and an integrated dial for easy configuration.
- View and adjust volume, gain, and channels to find the perfect settings for your environment. Battery life, recording status, and wireless signal strength are also displayed.
- An internal motor provides clear haptic feedback during key operations such as power on or off, internal recording, mute and unmute, and noise cancellation on or off.
Highly Compatible
If you want to use the DJI Mic 2 with a smartphone, simply place the Lightning or USB-C adapter into the expansion port at the bottom of the receiver and connect it to your phone to start recording. These adapters support stereo audio playback without needing to disconnect the receiver. Use the 3.5 mm TRS cable to connect the camera's 3.5 mm microphone jack to the receiver's 3.5 mm audio output jack and start video recording on your camera. The 3.5 mm adapter supports automatic on/off synchronization with your camera's power status.
