Outdoor lighting fixture IP65 for T5 14W fluorescent lamps with electronic ballast 1x14W, lamp not included

An outdoor IP65 fluorescent fixture for waterproofing, takes 14W T5 G5 fluorescent lamps. Not very high quality, don’t expect it to be very premium, this fixture is made to be waterproof and maybe withstand a few hard knocks, it looks a bit fake, but at this price it’s impressive that it even includes a ballast! Classic fluorescent fixture, it has a lot of depth so it easily fits the ballast, even a magnetic ballast fits, but to adapt it you need a bit of modification and you also need a starter with its base, which doesn’t make sense, it’s better to use electronic ballasts, but the one already inside is terrible, completely Chinese and it lights up the lamp immediately, whereas fluorescent lamps shouldn’t light up instantly, they should have a small delay of about 2-4 seconds, immediate ignition slightly reduces the lamp’s lifespan! It’s better if the ballasts are from Philips, Osram or Tridonic, they are perhaps the most reliable!

Also, what’s not good and I didn’t like is the system that holds and closes the plastic cover, you need a screwdriver to open it and you have to be careful because these clips are plastic and can break if too much force is applied! Unfortunately, mine has plastic clips, if there is one with metal as shown in the photos, it would be better! Overall, it’s an honest fixture for its price, just 6-7€, extremely cheap when a Philips or Osram T5 14W lamp alone costs 4-5€, not even the ballast would cost that little, 8-10€ for the cheapest Osram electronic ballast, and even if the whole fixture with ballast cost 15€, it would still be VFM!
