The Proskit SS-988B soldering station is a workstation with a soldering power of 60 W and a temperature range of up to 480 °C. The temperature is controlled by a microprocessor, while the ceramic heating element speeds up the time needed to reach soldering temperature. The backlit LCD displays operating information.

The station features ESD protection, a choice of temperature units (°C or °F), and Sleep Mode, which activates after 10 minutes of inactivity. It also includes desoldering, smoke extraction with an activated carbon filter, automatic tip cleaning with an infrared sensor, LED lighting, and a DC 5 V / 1 A USB port for charging devices or powering USB devices.
