Its heat transfer surface consists of corrugated stainless steel plates, joined by copper or nickel brazing in a vacuum furnace. It is non-detachable, single-pass and counterflow, with the channels connected in parallel.

It is used in liquid-to-liquid heating or cooling installations, as well as in domestic hot water, central heating, solar heating and geothermal heating systems. It is also suitable for installations with water-jacketed fireplaces, as well as for ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and industrial applications.
