The Akyga® AK-CO-02 converter allows the connection of devices that communicate with the RS-232 standard to laptops or computers via a USB connector. This conversion is usually useful in newer laptops without an RS-232 port. This standard is often used in printers, cash registers, electronic meters, and diagnostic interfaces.

The cable is 1 m long and ends with two male plugs: one USB type A and one RS-232. The secondary adapter works only in one direction, from USB to RS-232.
