The publication of the work "Concise Interpretation of the Penal Code – After the Amendments of Law 5090/2024" was deemed necessary, given the multiple extensive modifications that the new Penal Code has already undergone with a series of legislations, particularly from the recent Law 5090/2024.

It was considered useful for the legal practitioner to have a preliminary concise aid at hand, so that they can navigate with relative ease through the legislative chaos that has been caused in the text of the Penal Code by the continuous successive amendments.

Beyond the observations on the interrelation of the provisions with each other and on substantive law, some fundamental interpretative issues concerning each individual provision are addressed. Specifically regarding the new regulations, extensive reference is made to the Explanatory Report, in order to draw useful conclusions regarding their interpretation and application. Additionally, for each provision, an extensive compilation of relevant case law and literature is provided.
