the connection between them overline reached me at best at 320-350...but man...what's the point when you go and put 100 ethernet? Seriously now? It really makes NO SENSE at all. Whoever decided to produce this product was definitely under the influence of alcohol. With VDSL you have no problem of course, but now with fiber to the home there is NO REASON to get it. You should get one THAT HAS Gigabit ethernet! I had it for years with vdsl and it worked perfectly but now...useless. All these years meanwhile I thought it was gigabit ethernet because of the 500 communication it gives between devices. Who would have thought that some geniuses at Devolo thought of something different.

This is a total misleading of customers case. Whatever speed they reach between them, which is never 550, more like 170-250, kiss it goodbye with the 100mbit ports. IDIOTS

In the first 2 months, there were disconnections 1 to 2 times a week. Now it's a matter of getting a stable speed for 2 hours without needing to disconnect for the system to come back. I don't know what's causing it, but the set is garbage. Money wasted, I will never buy products from this company!

I have had this specific kit for over a year.

I have installed it in a house with single-phase electricity. It is stable, it has never disconnected, only the initial "pairing" of the 2 powerlines is a hassle and can take some time.

The communication speed between the powerlines is about 100 Mbit/s download (from the router's powerline to the one in the room) or more, depending on the day, and about 240-300 Mbit/s upload. These values change significantly depending on the distance between them and whether there is a third powerline connected in the house.

The package includes 2 Cat5E cables. Its lights are discreet and it does not make any noise, as I experienced with some powerline models from another company.

I would recommend them for their reliability and features, as they cover the needs of household users in our country, based on the internet access speeds provided by the providers.

Bought 3 months ago. Easy installation, satisfactory speed. The first month everything was fine, but then frequent disconnections 2 to 4 times a week and a reset after several minutes (15 and more). Unfortunately not satisfied with a product from a good company considering the purchase price of €69.50.

If someone wants Powerline without disconnecting and hassle, just get this pair. You plug one into one socket and connect the cable from the router. You plug the other into any socket you want in your house and you have internet with a cable. You don't need to do ANYTHING. No settings, not even a button.

And the best part is that it also has a passthrough socket where you can plug in any device you want.

Attention! Powerlines must be plugged directly into the socket. Then you can plug in whatever you want into its socket.

Buy it and you won't regret it.

One day of use in a two-story house. Completely satisfied. Does not lose speed despite the two floors. The ultimate plug n play.

Experience a few months after purchase:

--> Disconnects on average twice daily / depending on the mood!!! There have been times during a week of use where it didn't disconnect at all, as well as times where it disconnected 6 times in one day...

--> I expected something better in terms of "disconnection" from devolo.

--> It remains fast and stable in terms of speed without any loss despite the kilometers of cables and floors.

    --> Overall satisfied.

It saved me when a surge protection kit intervened.. as the instructions say, it needs direct contact with a socket.. so when I plugged it directly into the socket, it worked excellently..

I purchased the Devolo dLAN 550 Duo+ Kit to replace the quite older TP-LINK TL-PA2010P, which, being slower, couldn't meet the needs after upgrading to VDSL.

I installed it in a 30-year-old building with single-phase power supply to cover a distance between rooms (~7-8 meters).

To my surprise, I found out that the Devolo dLAN 550 Duo+ Kit couldn't surpass a speed of around 31Mbit, despite the fact that the software showed a connection speed of 200+Mbit. The measurements were done using Speedtest.net as well as locally, from computer to computer directly connected through Powerline (FTP, Windows Network). Especially in the case of Speedtest.net, I tried it through Powerline (~25-31Mbit) and directly through Ethernet to the Router (~46Mbit).

I still believe that Devolo Powerline devices are reliable and that's why I rate it with 4 stars.

I give it 5 stars to start with and I explain: I bought it yesterday but the build quality is excellent and it works perfectly in a maisonette with 3-phase electricity. The fact that it is not in the same phase by itself says a lot...

  • For now, it works perfectly.. I have put it in a TV box and it does an amazing job!!! It connected immediately as soon as I plugged it in.. It saved me when a surge protection kit intervened.. as the instructions say, it needs direct contact with a socket.. so when I plugged it directly into the socket, it worked excellently..

It solved my problem of Wi-Fi disconnections, zero loss of speed compared to a direct cable connection to the router

Perhaps the best in its category. Truly a very useful tool for those who do not want to have cables inside their legs!

It was purchased a month ago.
It is simply amazing. Very easy to use, connected the cables and everything worked immediately without needing to make any adjustments.
    Very fast in file transfer.
As for the internet, you don't see the slightest difference compared to having the PC directly connected to the router

  • the connection between them overline reached me at best at 320-350...but man...what's the point when you go and put 100 ethernet? Seriously now? It really makes NO SENSE at all. Whoever decided to produce this product was definitely under the influence of alcohol. With VDSL you have no problem of course, but now with fiber to the home there is NO REASON to get it. You should get one THAT HAS Gigabit ethernet! I had it for years with vdsl and it worked perfectly but now...useless. All these years meanwhile I thought it was gigabit ethernet because of the 500 communication it gives between devices. Who would have thought that some geniuses at Devolo thought of something different.

  • This is a total misleading of customers case. Whatever speed they reach between them, which is never 550, more like 170-250, kiss it goodbye with the 100mbit ports. IDIOTS

  • The products of Devolo are truly the best of their kind!
I have been using them for years and I am completely satisfied, they are expensive but they work!

  • Good experience so far, no disconnections. Stable speed but less than theoretical. Tested in two different houses within a year. Their price is a bit steep.

  • In the first 2 months, there were disconnections 1 to 2 times a week. Now it's a matter of getting a stable speed for 2 hours without needing to disconnect for the system to come back. I don't know what's causing it, but the set is garbage. Money wasted, I will never buy products from this company!
