The material used is HSSE tool steel with 5% cobalt, ensuring optimal performance and blade stability.

The tool is protected from wear with a multilayer HL coating, consisting of a base layer of TiAlN, which serves as an excellent thermal barrier, and a top layer of tungsten carbide in a carbon matrix (WC/C), which limits deposit formation during the processing of flexible materials.
