The book presents and highlights the international regulations governing the operation of unmanned aircraft (Drones), while also showcasing the regulations at the national level, both in our country and in other significant aviation nations such as the USA, Russia, China, and the UK. Additionally, it is of particular interest to military circles, as it delves deeply and analytically into military drones and their role in modern armed conflicts.

Specifically, the following are highlighted:

• ICAO regulations for unmanned aircraft
• the corresponding European regulatory framework
• the relevant national (Greek) legislation
• the legislation for unmanned aircraft in the USA, Russia, China, and the UK
• the modern operational role of military drones
• the actions of military drones from the perspective of international humanitarian law

The aim of the book is to adequately present and analyze the institutional framework, both national and international, for the operation of unmanned aircraft, which represent a fundamentally new, innovative type of aircraft with numerous civil/commercial and military applications. Through the attempted analysis, the adequacy of existing regulations is evaluated, and future challenges are recorded.
