The Clone Wars have ended, but for those with reasons to run from the new Galactic Empire, the fight for survival is just beginning. The Jedi have almost been exterminated in the Great Purge and the Republic has collapsed. Now the former Republic Commandos - the galaxy's finest special forces, cloned from Jango Fett - find themselves on opposite sides with very different armor. Some have deserted and taken refuge in Mandalore with the mercenaries, renegade clones, and radical Jedi that make up Kal Skirata's resistance group against the imperial occupation. Others - including men from the Delta and Omega squads - now serve as Imperial Troopers, a black operation within Vader's own 501st Legion, tasked with exterminating fugitive Jedi and runaway clones. For Darman, mourning his Jedi wife and separated from his son, it's a painful test of loyalty. But he isn't the only one who will be forced to test the bonds of brotherhood. On Mandalore, fugitive clones and the planet's natives, who hold no love for the Jedi, will be called upon to challenge their most cherished beliefs. In the wild new galactic order, old hatreds may need to be set aside to unite against a much bigger threat, and no one can take old loyalties for granted.
