The Filtrato water filter unit connects to the kitchen faucet and, using an adapter, lets you choose between filtered and unfiltered water. The plastic filter housing takes 10" replacement filters and comes with a single coconut-shell carbon block filter with a 5-micron rating. The filter reduces chlorine, odors, chlorine by-products, and cysts measuring ≥5 microns, while improving the taste of the water.

The unit is designed for cold water, with an operating temperature range of 2 °C to 45 °C. The replacement filter should be changed according to its filtration capacity or every 12 months.
