A few days ago it gave up the ghost. Some plastic part in the mechanism broke. Generally poor quality construction, e.g. signs of rust on the screws. While it worked, it was effective. The suction cups did not always stick.

I don't know if you call it King Hoff, but mine doesn't say anything like that on it.. most likely they sent me some Chinese one because when I tried to grate some slightly harder graviera cheese, the metal grinder inside became square... it got completely bent...

Very good quality materials, grates hard cheese easily, works even on my countertop which is not perfectly smooth.
