Laurel, scientifically named Laurus nobilis, is a fragrant evergreen tree or large shrub of the laurel family (Lauraceae), with dark green glossy leaves, native to the Mediterranean regions.

The essential oil of Laurel is obtained by distilling the leaves and small branches. It has a green-yellow color and a strong herbal and camphoraceous aroma.

The essential oil of Laurel possesses significant therapeutic properties. It is used for:

• Toothache

Additionally, it has antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties, helping to combat skin infections, as it accelerates the maturation of pimples and acne, as well as oral infections (canker sores).

It is particularly well-known for its positive contribution to hair and the scalp, stimulating hair growth and effectively addressing dandruff.
