Clove Bud leaf. Clove Bud has the scientific name Eugenia Caryophyllata and is an evergreen tree from the Myrtaceae family. This plant variety is native to Madagascar, Tanzania, Indonesia, and the Malacca Islands, growing to a height of about 10 meters.

The essential oil of Clove is extracted through the distillation process of its leaves and has a warm, sweet, and spicy aroma. It contains eugenol, which is responsible for many of its pharmacological properties.
