The Dynavoice Challenger S-5 is the smallest speaker in the Challenger series. It is perfectly harmonized with the other models in the series and suitable for a 5.1 system or as a standalone pair in a stereo system. The S-5 features a 5.25-inch combined midrange/woofer, a Super Audio tweeter, and has two bass reflex ports on the front.
The first series of speakers produced by Dynavoice was the Challenger. Over the years, Hi-Fi magazines and customers have praised the Challenger series for its incredible price-performance ratio. Solid and well-constructed cabinets, high-performance materials, and an exceptionally detailed, powerful, and natural sound make it unique in its category.
The woofer is made of pressed paper, which offers the speakers rich and detailed fidelity and allows them to handle large amounts of power without losing control. The Super Audio tweeter is designed to have high power handling while maintaining clarity.
When the Swedish magazine Ljud & Bild tested the 5.0 systems, it compared the S-5 with the M-65 floor-standing speakers and the C-5 center speaker, comparing them to systems that cost twice as much. The test committee was impressed: "The Dynavoice system has a large-scale and impressive cinema sound, where the full character offers an excellent experience and a high entertainment factor."
