The encounter with nature is an ancient journey of human experience, dating back to humanity's earliest quests for survival and reproduction.
Throughout the ages, nature has become the backdrop and the protagonist of human life, influencing lifestyle, cultural practices, and ethical beliefs. In this context, ecology emerges as an ever-evolving science that invites us to explore our relationships with the natural environment and seek solutions to the challenges our planet faces.
The work: “Ecology and the Natural Environment: Ethical and Cultural Approach” by Dr. Sotirios Balatsoukas, compellingly highlights the two-way dialogue between humans and the environment through in-depth analysis. Based on a multidimensional approach, the book emphasizes the relationship between ecology, ethical values, and culture, inviting the reader on a journey of exploration and discovery.
