I have 2 on an 8-acre estate in the two opposite corners of the house (NW & SE) and practically covers the entire area.
The installation is a breeze.
When it's very windy, there are some instabilities, which is normal.
Each one permanently has around 35-40 clients (tapo lambs tplink).
In general, there are no interruptions in the internal network (any instabilities come from the internet provider, mainly regarding upload).
The price is slightly high in my opinion, considering it's a simple plastic construction....

==================
Update after almost two years:
It works perfectly and flawlessly in a mountainous area with -10 degrees in winter and around +30 degrees in summer.
It provides signal to tapo lambs located 50-60 meters away.... amazing technology and durable constructions. Well done, tp-link!
These specific ones work seamlessly with the other wifi systems operating inside the house.
The mesh technology works so smoothly that after a few weeks, you forget it even exists!

Pure disappointment. Imagine it has the same range as the basic tplink access point that costs 20€. It's a shame because I wanted to buy Ubiquity and changed my mind at the last moment, being influenced by the reviews here. Used in an open space for cameras. Don't buy it if you want to cover more than 15 meters, I wonder about the person who covered 8 acres (!) in a previous review.

It is a very good device, works perfectly, the only thing is that the speeds are a bit strange—at 1 meter through a wall I get 400, and if I take one step back it barely goes to 100, but it's good for its price

Honestly, its range is laughable. I bought it to replace the wifi of the Cosmote speedport, but I wasted my money... It is by far worse in terms of range. If there is any obstacle, the range is reduced by almost 80% at 2.4GHz! At 5GHz it can't even penetrate a shirt! I was forced to buy a cheap repeater from Mercusys (under €20) and finally found relief! The house where I have installed it is 120m2, and it is placed in a spot with direct access to the rooms, without intermediate walls, only wooden doors, and those are always open!

I bought it for an access point. It is satisfactory in an open space, but if you find yourself in front of a column in an outdoor area, it cuts off a lot and often throws you off. In other words, it doesn't have the power to penetrate a wall with dignity. It is good for outdoor use only, but without any structural obstacles (walls and anything else involved). The installation is very easy. The settings are set to High. I expected it to be more powerful, not so much in range but in its ability to penetrate obstacles. I wouldn't choose it again or any other antennas from the company that are exclusively for outdoor use but without any obstacles.

Personally, I expected more in terms of range from what I have read in general!! Also, I expected it to be smaller but from videos you can see a lot of things, but you can never draw a conclusion about the size! Overall, it is a reliable machine and plug and play, but of course you can change it and make it whatever you like very easily from your mobile or PC! The use I wanted it for is for security cameras, because I have them connected to the modem/router and many times they lose their signal, so I was looking for an external solution!! A bit pricey, but I believe it is worth buying!

  • It is a very good device, works perfectly, the only thing is that the speeds are a bit strange—at 1 meter through a wall I get 400, and if I take one step back it barely goes to 100, but it's good for its price

  • Honestly, its range is laughable.

  • I have 50 such devices, they are the best of all the TP-Link access points I have worked with, I have never encountered an issue

  • It is very value for money.
It is highly customizable through its menu.
It easily supports more wifi devices than provider routers and has a much better range.

  • I bought it for an access point.
