A modern man is reincarnated in the world of a fantasy game he knows well: as Werner, the son of a powerful noble. However, Werner is neither a hero nor a villain - he is a background character who is likely to die during a scaled siege!

Werner seeks out and befriends the hero, but he does not possess enough strength to be a hero himself. Determined not to die as an inconsequential plot point, he uses his knowledge of the game and his power as a noble to assist the hero and defend against evil attacks. He then realizes that in this way, he is saving other people who were doomed like him, changing the 'plot' he thought was inevitable.

As a close companion of the hero, who has the ability to see the future, Werner may ultimately prove to be the savior of this land!
