Tibullus was one of the great Roman elegists, along with Ovid and Propertius. His poems about love, addressed to his mistresses, Delia and Nemesis, and the young Marathus, reflect idealism, anguish, and betrayal.
His works have been translated into English by A. M. Juster, and they include parallel Latin text, an introduction, and notes by Tibullus's scholar, Robert Maltby.
