MAX GEAR® synthetic gear oil

Royal Purple®'s Max Gear® is recommended for use throughout the automotive industry for front and rear steering systems, manual transmissions, and gearboxes requiring lubricants with API GL-5 or GL-4 specifications.

This particular gear oil is non-corrosive to soften metals such as brass, copper, and bronze, and is safe for all parts that come into contact and synchronize. Max Gear works exceptionally well in marine applications such as shafts and propellers. It is not for use with wet-type clutches.

Max Gear is a very strong, high-performance, and high-specification lubricant designed to provide maximum performance in high-friction, pressure, and temperature conditions. Its goal is to increase power and speed in the drivetrain system.

Performance advantages:

  • Increases the lifespan of equipment such as gears and bearings
  • Reduces operating temperatures of the mechanism
  • Lower coefficient of friction and wear
  • Maximum corrosion protection
  • Quickly separates from water
  • Limits slippage and can be used in both open and closed transmission systems as well as differentials
