Optima Natura Tea Tree essential oil is obtained from the top branches of the Melaleuca alternifolia plant by steam distillation. It has a fluid consistency and a pale yellow hue. It is used in personal care products and aromatherapy.

For massage, dilute 2 drops in 1 tablespoon of massage oil. For a bath, add 3–6 drops to warm water and soak for at least 20 minutes. To fragrance a room, use 5 drops per 1 litre of water. It can be applied directly to the skin or added to cosmetics according to their instructions; a patch test is recommended. For external use only. Do not swallow, even when diluted. Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or children under 3 years of age. Use caution with products containing benzoyl peroxide or tretinoin. It may solidify when refrigerated without losing its properties.
