Description

Description

The TP-Link Archer AX55 Pro is aimed at users seeking a reliable and efficient router for their home or office. It offers high wireless connection speeds and advanced network capabilities.

It supports the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard, which provides wireless speeds much higher than the previous Wi-Fi 5 standard. This means it can deliver network speeds that allow smooth HD and Ultra HD video streaming, lag-free online gaming, and generally a fast and reliable internet connection for multiple connected devices.

The router also features multiple Gigabit Ethernet ports, allowing the connection of wired devices such as computers, gaming consoles, and printers for even greater speed and stability.

Wi-Fi 6 upgrades everything

The latest generation of Wi-Fi technology offers higher speeds, less latency, and greater capacity, allowing for more simultaneous connections on your home network.

Incredible speed!

The drastically improved speeds allow for streaming, fast downloading, and gaming — all simultaneously. The 5 GHz with 160 MHz channel support doubles the bandwidth, enabling 8K video without lag.

Powerful CPU and high memory

Behind the structure of Wi-Fi 6 technology are Qualcomm®'s advanced chipset and high memory. Enjoy fast connections with minimal latency even under heavy transmission load. Every click for website links and online playback on your laptop and phone responds faster.

Enhanced cooling design

No warm-up, no delays. The larger heatsink and refined case design cool the WiFi 6 system and allow your network to maintain ultimate speed in more flexible environments.

USB 3.0 Ports

Easily share files between connected devices by connecting to an external hard drive. You can even make it your personal cloud storage space and access it securely from outside (using WPA3 requires devices to support the WPA3 protocol).

TP-Link OneMesh

Do you want to create a powerful Wi-Fi network for your entire home? The Archer AX55 Pro supports OneMesh to form seamless whole-home coverage, preventing drops and delays when moving between networks - offering a strong mesh with multi-band Backhaul, ultra-fast smart roaming, and unified management.

Advanced Security

With TP-Link HomeShield, enjoy advanced security features that provide a safe environment protecting your family's and network's data and privacy. At your disposal, you have a home network scanner to detect potential threats and security issues, parental control to manage internet time and block inappropriate content, and QoS to prioritize your favorite devices for faster connections and top performance.

WPA3: New level of security

The latest Wi-Fi security protocol, WPA3, brings new capabilities to enhance cybersecurity in personal networks. More secure encryption in Wi-Fi password security and improved protection against brute-force attacks combine to safeguard your home Wi-Fi!

Easy installation and use

Whether you prefer the intuitive Tether app or the powerful web interface of TP-Link, you can set up the Archer AX55 Pro within minutes. The Tether app allows you to manage network settings from any Android or iOS device.

I have been using it for about 2 months and it hasn't shown any issues. Check out the video I have uploaded as I talk more in detail about the router there!

  • Very good router but unfortunately on ethernet it will not send more than 100mbps because it has a software bug that limits and locks it at 100 if it does not find a specific cable quality, of unknown origin, since from what I read on forums no one has seen it deliver more.

  • Good with many customization options, but not greater range and speed than the good fiber routers from the providers.

It does its job, but I have problems with the Wireguard Client (one of the main reasons I bought it). After a few days it disconnects and then gets stuck on "Connecting". Direct connection to the server on other devices (mobile, computers) has no issue. Other than that, it does its job as it should.

After many problems with Cosmote's speedport, such as interruptions of Cosmote TV whenever I was simply surfing on my mobile, or glitches in the automation of the lights, etc. (for a long time I thought the slow internet was to blame for the glitches), I finally decided to get a second router to handle the heavy tasks, since there are about 30 devices in the house using wifi! I struggled a lot trying to bridge it, but unfortunately the speedport refused!
So, after resetting all the settings, I just plugged it in, set it as an access point through the app, and that's it! I may have lost several functions and tools that this router offers, but at least since then (about 2 months) I haven't had the slightest problem with my network! Internet speeds in mbps did not increase, but the network is very stable and fast!

Unfortunately, from the first days it started disconnecting both in wired and wireless operation, especially since it had received the latest firmware and 2 factory resets. Note that the problems occurred in both router and access point mode behind the provider's modem using both 2 Gbit ethernet. I am waiting for a replacement in case the model was defective.

I had been having internet problems for years due to the layout of my house. With the TP-LINK router, I found my peace. I get 200mbps in my room.

I should add that in combination with the TP link WiFi extender with Mesh function, I have truly forgotten what disconnection and slow speeds mean.

Anyone thinking of getting it should know that they will definitely see a huge difference in line stability compared to provider routers, even at long distances, and also a good increase in WiFi range.

    Very easy to install.
