This review is about the software format: Code In A Box

First of all, let's start with the positives. The graphics of the game are amazing, especially for the Switch, as well as the music. The story is also fantastic and personally one of the best in a Sonic game. The only negative of the game (and the most important) is its ease and how quickly it can be completed (it took me personally 2.5 hours)

For its price, it is decent. But that's about it. It is short-lived and quite repetitive in my opinion. Its speed is indeed impressive, to the point that it tires me out. The storyline is also a bit all over the place.

For the money, it's a very decent choice. It has something for everyone in terms of gameplay, both 2D and 3D, and besides Sonic, you can create and play with your own avatar, which I really liked. There are many options for genre, clothing, weapons, etc.

The multiplayer is meh, you practically play with other people's avatars and not with actual players. The story is typical, nice soundtrack, overall it's quite entertaining for the price it's currently being sold, although it's short - about 6-7 hours for the main story (including side missions) but you can replay it for high scores.

    * The screenshots are from my own playthrough.

Sonic Forces fails miserably to upgrade the mechanics from the previous 3D Sonic games. It becomes boring after a while and feels like it's repeating the levels. There is a confusing story. For a budget switch game, I believe it is mediocre, as there are much better options for the money.

Let's start with the positives. The game has good graphics and sound. And it's amazing how technology has advanced to deliver such high-quality graphics at such a fast pace! Now, onto the negatives. The game starts off strong with an interesting story that is destroyed within a few minutes. The worst part of the game is... the game itself (gameplay). It's incredibly monotonous, lacks challenges, has weak battles, no memorable levels, the tracks last about 2 minutes, the whole game lasts about 3 hours, and if I could describe it in one sentence, it would be "we have the RIGHT button pressed and in some parts we press the B button" (like the game is playing on autopilot!). It's not worth the money.

Very nice graphics. The little one doesn't seem to get bored, it keeps his interest.
