This controller is an absolute joy to use at first. Compared to the V1 version, it feels much more solid, and the battery life has seen a decent improvement. For the first few months, I was completely satisfied with its performance.
Unfortunately, the excitement didn't last. After exactly 6 months of use, it developed stick drift on the left analog stick. It is incredibly frustrating that such a premium controller suffers from this issue so early on.
My Advice:
If you are planning to buy this, or if you are looking to upgrade your old V1 controller, I highly recommend making two modifications. First, upgrade the analog sticks to trm ones so you don't have to deal with this issue again. Second, while you are at it, it would be a very smart move to upgrade the battery to a higher capacity one for even better playtime.

I use it on Linux and Switch 2 (with an adapter). The track pad is very convenient on the PC, even for remote mouse use.

The adaptive triggers are a unique experience.
But even in games that don't support them, it is an excellent controller.

The purchase was made on 30/10/22. I'm still playing with it and I've put in several thousand hours. Slowly the time is approaching to replace it but it still works just fine.

Not saying its bad... since I'm using in on PC and not on PS...
But.. it seems L1 constantly produces signal, without being pressed.

It's the best controller on the market, bar none, period.

I don't know if I could call it a good value for money proposition, though, because of the price. I think it's worth every penny, but I cannot overlook the relatively high price.

I bought this controller for PS5 about a year ago and overall my experience was okay. The controller is comfortable in the hand and works well for most things. The buttons respond properly and the battery lasts quite a while, which makes it good for everyday use.
However, there were also a few minor issues. When I received it, it had a bit of stick drift on the analog, but not to the point where you couldn't play. It also had some small scratches on the controller, which bothered me a bit because I expected it to be in better condition.
Overall, the controller works well and I can use it without major problems. Nevertheless, it would be better if it didn't have stick drift and if it came without scratches.

As Michalis wrote below, the controller is a rip-off from Sony. What kind of potentiometers are these, guys? Even the Switch has better ones... Controller almost 2 years old and already for the trash

Very good... we'll see how long it lasts until this one starts drifting too... the downside is that it has a short warranty and once it expires, Sony won't repair it, not even at our own expense... It's unacceptable that there is no support from Sony's official service.

Everything is perfect. Time will tell how long it will last. Generally, in some games like Gran Turismo, I choose to play with the indicators to avoid the drift that will surely happen at some point. In calmer games, I use it normally.

Everything is perfect but the controller is not the V2 version as stated in the product description. Unfortunately, it is a shame that while you advertise the V2 version where the battery has a longer life, you deliver to people the first version of Dualsense where the battery lasts less.

Before I bought it, I didn't even see any comments. After it broke for me too and started drifting after 1.5 years with really minimal use—like two weeks where I would turn it on every day for about 3 hours and then two months closed—I went in and read the comments. I'm shocked, I don't know what to say, these guys are unacceptable. It's a given that it will start drifting; now if you're lucky like me and it lasted 1.5 years, you'll be fine. I see other people here saying it fell apart after 2 or 3 months, what a disgrace. I sent them an email, I don't think anything will happen, but I'll rely on the fact that there are a lot of people with this problem and maybe they make them defective on purpose or to force you to buy the more expensive one or to keep spending 70 euros like that. Either way, they're thieves.

it's only a matter of time before it develops stick drift. the warranty is 1 year so if that has passed it won't be officially repaired.

After a year they break with drift and are also out of Sony warranty. With €45 you can replace the sticks with Hall effect ones at a relevant store, so in the end you end up paying about double the money.

Excellent and without problems. On a similar one I had bought in another color, one button broke after it fell down. However, after I cleaned it following a video on YouTube, it works just fine.

second one I buy within two years with minimal use for each. the joysticks start to drift. they turn in whatever direction they want on their own. and I hear it happens to everyone and it continues. pure scam to make us spend money. I will look for another company

Very good controller overall. I think it is a bit overpriced if you get it for PC because there are others with hall effect triggers, tmr joysticks at a much better price, or even the pro controller of the switch 1 (9 years and it still doesn't have drift) but otherwise very good quality. I bought it because my previous one developed drift on the left joystick, but after 4 years.

I have two controllers and both had stick drift within a few months. I repaired both and after a while I have to repair the other two sticks as well. This is a manufacturing defect, which Sony has no intention of fixing, only increasing the price. I have Microsoft controllers that have worked perfectly for 15 years, costing 50 euros. The most expensive consumable on the market. Scammers.

It's a shame that from good Joysticks on PS3 and PS4 we are going back to analogs on PS5, obviously marketing since with 150-200€ you get the Edge controller which has Hall effect sticks. The worst controllers for the 2025 era. Fortunately, there are Joysticks with Hall Effect available with work at 50€, instead of buying a new controller you can make your own, honestly better than a new one.

Terrible product. I have a PC and I use the controller for specific games, I had about 4 months of light use with no problem, now it's been a week that I use it daily for several hours and guess what… it drifts… at first I thought it was my imagination but for some strange reason within a day both the right and the left, without any exaggeration, haven't stopped drifting. To say that I mistreated it, sorry, I've dropped the controller 3 times, I don't think it's that sensitive… anyway, if I don't find something similar and convenient like this controller, my review is harsh but it's also my truth that I would buy it again even if it only lasts five months again.

Stick drift within 2 months on the right stick. Truly unbelievable. 70€ just to need a new one after a few months. I don't know if it's because they sent me the Japanese model (CFI-ZCT1J for those who know). These things shouldn't happen for the money they sell it for.

The controller is gen 5 (2024) and it is very good in terms of grip and has a slightly better battery than the previous gen 4 (2023) gen 3 (2022)

My package arrived just fine, I open it and see the box literally opened as if someone had opened it, taken it out, shown it to someone, and then put it back in its box... Seriously, come on. Fortunately, it looks new, I mean I haven't even connected it to the console yet because of renovations, but I believe everything is fine.

As for the drifting, guys, I don't know what you're talking about. The PS4 controllers, yes, I used them a lot and they had that issue, but the two PS5 controllers I changed the lights on and the other controllers I have have all been fine for years... Let's hope this one won't give me any trouble
