An illustrated historical work on the American-made destroyers and frigates delivered to the Royal Navy through Lend-Lease, which played a critical role in Britain's war in the Atlantic. As U-boat attacks on Britain's vital sea lanes increased in ferocity and the losses of the Royal Navy's warships accumulated, the United States passed the Lend-Lease Act, which became the cornerstone of America's wartime role as a supplier to the Allies.
