When installing a new head on an old air compressor of any brand, pay attention to the following:
- The diameter of the pulley that the previous motor has. Also, check the flywheel. The speed of the head depends on the motor pulley and the head flywheel. Leave a tolerance on the speed at least 15% below the MAXIMUM.
- Be sure to add oil to the crankcase before starting (SAE 15W50).
- Check the rotation direction of the flywheel so that it is according to the arc (to cool the head).
- Tighten the drive belt and the fittings of the pipe that carries air to the air receiver correctly. Check the fittings for any leaks during operation.
- Check the pressure switch (automatic) and the check valve internally. Ensure the presence of a safety valve.
