D.E.I. (Divide et Impera) is a game of exploration and survival set on Earth, which has been devastated by a new ice age. The cities of the future, once the crucibles of civilization, have turned into frozen deserts, scattered with the carcasses of skyscrapers that have now become uninhabitable ruins. Among the narrow streets of old London, groups of survivors use their skills to explore and loot the scarce remaining resources to sell them to the Pure Caste in exchange for food and fuel.
Those who still possess high technology, the Pure are the chosen heirs of the old civilization. Protected by fortified cities, they manage the groups of survivors, helping them in exploration or pitting them against each other so they cannot ally and threaten their territories.
In D.E.I., each player will control one of the four groups of survivors and compete with others for the richest treasure to trade with the Pure Caste. They will need to explore London on two levels, the streets and the rooftops of old buildings, searching for the precious resources of the previous era that are coveted by the Pure: Technologies and energy cells.
Each faction will start with 8 cards, a Hero, and some Explorers, but during the game, it will be possible to acquire new actions from London's black markets, construct new structures such as bridges and elevators, and temporarily gain control of high-tech drones provided by the Pure Caste.
The game map is completely modular and three-dimensional, so each game of D.E.I. is always different and exciting. The explorers will often be able to claim territories for resources and have greater influence in the markets, and therefore, battles will be inevitable. Also, during the games, players will need to complete missions of increasing difficulty, which will increase their victory points. The gang of survivors who earns the most victory points by satisfying the Pure Caste wins the game.
