It must be used while the engine is running and is not intended for extended use; the operating time is 40–60 minutes. Do not use it with the engine off, as this may drain the battery. If heat comes from the outlet while the fan is not operating, or if you notice a smell of burning plastic, disconnect the power immediately. The plug must fit securely, and do not touch the metal parts of the cigarette lighter when removing it after prolonged use.
