Chomp by Allplay is a dinosaur strategy game in which players form herds and make sure they have food. Herbivores and carnivores need food sources, while hungry carnivores can eat a herbivore.
Each turn, players choose a target or dinosaur tile. Target tiles are set aside for final scoring, while dinosaur tiles are placed in front of each player, overlapping previous tiles by a quarter, half, or the entire tile, so that any covered dinosaurs are completely hidden. Adjacent dinosaurs of the same species form herds and feed together when connected to a food source. A herd dies if it runs out of food, is next to a tar pit, or is adjacent to a hungry carnivore. At the end, each living, fed dinosaur scores 1–3 points depending on its size, and the player with the highest score wins.
