The RUTC50 by Teltonika is a mobile router, a device to which other devices connect wirelessly and share internet access through a built-in modem that uses the mobile network with a SIM card. The SIM card must have an active connection with a data package.
It connects to the 5G network, offering significantly higher speeds than 4G, provided there is corresponding coverage in the area. It is of Wi‑Fi 5 generation, the most widespread Wi-Fi standard, capable of meeting the needs of most users.
It broadcasts a signal on two frequencies, 2.4 & 5GHz, offering higher speeds compared to single band and the ability to connect more devices. The 2.4GHz frequency has a long range, while the 5GHz provides higher speed but is more sensitive to obstacles that reduce its range.
The device has the capability to set up a VPN (Virtual Private Network) for secure data traffic from all devices, offering anonymity and access to geographically restricted content. VPN services are usually paid with a subscription.
The NAT firewall hides the addresses of all devices on the local network behind a single address, increasing security. With MAC address filtering, it allows specific devices to connect based on their unique MAC address.
