The economic crisis has manifested. Sixteen "too big to fail" companies from four countries need rescuing. Central banks have unlimited financial resources, so a lot of money will be printed, but central banks also face disaster—if they print too much, the country they represent will go bankrupt.
In Q.E., a term that means "quantitative easing," you take on the role of a central bank. You bid on various companies to collect different levels of victories. The amount you bid is unlimited, as you are the central bank and you have the printing press! After the initial "open" bid by the main player, the remaining players bid secretly. Once the sixteen companies are "rescued," victory bonuses are awarded for sets of nationalization, monopolization, and diversification companies.
The player markers on the scoring track reveal which player has the most victory points, but that's not the end. Players must now calculate the amount of money they printed, and the player who printed the most money loses all their victory points!
Previous editions of Q.E. supported up to four players, with an expansion for a fifth player available separately. This new edition of Q.E. is playable with up to five players out of the box.
