Description

Description

Compliance with the 802.3af/at PoE+ standard supports up to 30 W on each PoE port. The total PoE power budget of 64 W for the 4× PoE ports opens up a wide range of applications, such as surveillance for offices, dormitories, and small businesses. It is fully compatible with IP cameras, access points, IP phones, computers, printers, and more.

Intelligent Energy Management

When the total power consumption exceeds 64 W, the intelligent power management will cut off the power supply of the lower-priority port. This ensures the power supply of the high-priority port and protects the device from power overload. It also automatically detects and provides the required power for PoE devices, while simultaneously protecting PoE and non-PoE equipment from damage.

Durable metal casing

The internal components of the TL-SG1008P are protected by a high-quality metal casing to ensure a long product lifespan. Having undergone a series of rigorous reliability tests, the TL-SG1008P delivers switching performance you can rely on.

The TP-Link TL-SG1008P is an excellent choice for those who need a reliable and user-friendly PoE switch for their IP cameras.

    Pros:
    1) Easy installation (Plug and Play)
    2) PoE support: It has 8 Gigabit ports, 4 of which support PoE. Each PoE port can provide up to 30W of power, with a total power of 64W for all PoE ports.
    3) Automatic Power and Protocol Selection (the most important for me)
    - Automatic Detection and Power Delivery: Its PoE ports support IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, meaning they can automatically detect and provide the appropriate power to compatible devices.
    - Power Management: The switch has power management... it won't burn out any device!!!!
    - Automatic PoE Restart: It features PoE Auto Recovery, which automatically detects and restarts devices that have been disconnected or are unresponsive.

    Cons (for some):
    1) It is unmanaged = does not support VLAN creation and QoS usage.

Personally, I use this switch to power and network 3x Reolink 520a and 1x Reolink PoE DoorBell.

    I highly recommend it!
