The Uni Posca PC-3M permanent marker writes in dark grey and features a round tip with a diameter of 0.9–1.3 mm. Its water-based ink is opaque and provides excellent coverage, and can be diluted or mixed with other colours while wet. It dries quickly, allowing successive layers to be applied without smudging.

It writes on paper, plastic, glass, metal and fabric. The ink is resistant to light and abrasion, waterproof once dry, non-toxic and odourless. The tip can be cleaned with water and reversed for use on the other side.
