Frosthaven is the story of a small outpost far to the north of the capital White Oak, struggling to survive against harsh weather conditions as well as attacks from known and unknown forces. There, a group of mercenaries on the edge of despair will help bring the settlement back from the brink of destruction. They will have to face severe conditions, but there are other, much more dangerous threats in the relentless cold. There are the Algox, the larger and more giant cousins of the Inox, who attack from the mountains, the Lurkers flooding in from the northern sea, and rumors of machines wandering the frozen expanses with a will of their own. The mercenary group must confront all these dangers and perhaps in doing so, make peace with these new tribes so they can collaborate against even more malevolent forces. Frosthaven is a standalone adventure from the designer and publisher of Gloomhaven, featuring sixteen new characters and three new races.
