A YAMAHA keyboard for less than €170 is a good option for someone who is learning, for use in school, simple accompaniment, fun, etc. Since from the 1990s until now this is the third YAMAHA from the PSR series that I have bought, it is definitely true that today you get much better quality for less money than before.
The keyboard has a smart key design; they do not make that annoying plastic noise, they have touch sensitivity which is adjustable, it has many sounds, several of which are very good for the money, and it has quite a few effects. Nothing essential is missing, except of course the Pitch Wheel and Mod Wheel.
However, even at this price, you can play almost anywhere, the sounds are very decent, and the volume and performance of the speakers are generally very good.
If we mention a flaw, I saw one: if you choose to play in DUAL, turn both sounds all the way up, and select boost as the effect, the speakers cannot handle it and crackle a little. Of course, we are talking about extreme settings, but it should be able to handle them since it allows you to select them.
I am very satisfied overall; I did not expect that for this money I would buy something so good. The 5 stars because it is good (for the money, of course) and I did not feel that I was being tricked into buying something that is not worth it.
What I would not recommend is the Stagg Sustain Pedal for €13.5. I was surprised by the low price since Yamaha's costs €40, but in the end it was not that good. You can press it with your whole foot and it will not work, unless you turn it diagonally and aim and press it on its left corner.
On the other hand, I am wondering whether I got a defective one. I don't know.
