Description

On a frozen lake, two tribes of prehistoric humans clash in a game of Kairn, also known as Caveman Curling, which is the ancestor of the modern sport of curling. Players compete individually or are grouped into two tribes, trying to throw their stones as close as possible to a target in each round. During a player's turn, they have two actions:

  • Throw a stone onto the ice, sliding it with their finger towards the target at the other end of the board.
  • To improve the placement of their stone or the chances of it staying in position, they can choose to use either a small or large hammer or a totem. With a hammer, the player moves the stone according to the size of the hammer. Regarding the totem, the player places it on top of the stone; if the totem falls, the player can throw it again in the next turn.

If the player's or their tribe's stone is closer to the center of the target than that of the other tribe, they earn points. The first player/tribe to accumulate six points wins.
