The important feature of the thread is its elasticity, so it does not break easily if an animal forcefully touches it. The thread is resistant to ultraviolet radiation and can be used for several consecutive years.

The wire is suitable for both permanent and temporary fences.

When selecting the cable for the electric fence, the following parameters should be considered:

• Break resistance – expressed in kg, represents the maximum tensile strength of the thread. For domestic animals, the maximum value is sufficient. 100 kg, for wild animals it is recommended to choose stronger thread.
• Electric resistance – expressed in Ω/m. The higher the resistance, the greater the voltage loss in the cable. The end of a fence made with high-strength wire will have such a low voltage that it will not function properly. For example, a wire of 0.4 Ω/m can be used in a fence with a maximum length of 10,000 m, and a cable of 7 Ω/m can be used only up to 1,000 m.
