It is easily absorbed, but it does not repair cracked skin, it probably works better as a prevention. In the end, for my extremely cracked hands, I bought an Avene cicalfate hand cream, which indeed repairs, and a Neutrogena one for hydration, and the issue was resolved.

I use it all winter. It is a better cream than the regular ones when there is an eczematous condition, it leaves some greasiness but that is logical since eczema requires constant hydration of the hands.

Frequent use is needed while it greatly helps to avoid excessive exposure of the hands to water or acids. Personally, I use gloves to clean acidic fruits such as lemon, orange, etc.
