Florisene® is a patented and clinically validated formula, specially designed for women with chronic telogen effluvium (Chronic Telogen Effluvium, CTE). The main pathogenetic factor of chronic telogen effluvium is low serum ferritin levels, which reflect a low amount of stored iron in the body.

When serum ferritin drops below a certain threshold, which varies from person to person and usually ranges between 40-70mcg, the hair growth cycle is disrupted, resulting in an increased total number of hairs in the telogen phase and clinically visible hair loss. Low serum ferritin levels are a common finding in women of reproductive age due to both reduced consumption of red meat and blood loss during menstruation.

Florisene® was designed with 2 goals:

1. To restore iron homeostasis: Florisene® provides a high amount of elemental iron (as ferrous fumarate). Ferrous fumarate salt is characterized by increased absorption and bioavailability with a low probability of gastrointestinal disturbances. For further enhancement of absorption, lysine and vitamin C have been added, which increase the absorption of iron from the intestinal mucosa.
2. To maintain normal hair growth and homeostasis. Normal hair growth requires normal proliferation of hair follicle cells, which is why Florisene® contains vitamin B12 to support the process of cell division, while biotin and selenium were added to maintain the normal condition of the hair.

Florisene®, like all Lamberts® products, is manufactured in the United Kingdom according to the strict standards of Pharmaceutical GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).

Ingredients: L-Lysine Hydrochloride, Calcium Carbonate, Cellulose, Iron (as fumarate), Tablet Coating (Polydextrose, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Calcium Carbonate, Colours: Iron Oxide, Glycerol), Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), Anti-caking Agents (Silicon Dioxide, Stearic Acid & Magnesium Stearate), Cross-linked Sodium Cellulose, Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin), Biotin, Selenium (Sodium Selenite).

Take 1 tablet daily or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.

Precautions: While taking Florisene®, you should not take any other dietary supplement containing iron. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, you should consult your doctor before using Florisene®. Use of Florisene® is contraindicated with concomitant oral antibiotic therapy. Florisene® should not be taken within 2 hours of taking any medication, including medications for indigestion. Florisene® contains iron and some individuals may experience mild gastrointestinal disturbances. This product contains iron, and excessive dosage may be harmful, especially to young children. Keep out of reach of children. Florisene® is safe when taken at the recommended dosages. In case of overdose, seek medical assistance.
