As a reference point, I will use the Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Instant Camera because that's the one I had.

The Wide is a completely different model and differs quite a bit.
Its design is clearly much larger and bulkier. It reminds me of the old cameras our grandparents used to have on a tripod. Personally, I really like that. It fills your hand and is truly very beautiful visually. It has a tripod socket and something like a 'heel' so you can rest it on a table and take the photo you want by adjusting its tilt.
A big plus is that it has a timer! Maybe the only reason I bought it. Now I can set it up and be in the photos myself, which is very important to me because I was usually the one taking them, so I wasn't in many.
It comes with 2 straps and you can also wear it around your neck. I also bought the carrying case, which I am relatively satisfied with.

Now regarding the images
The photo size is perfect, and so is the clarity. The film is exactly the same price as the smaller ones, so it's worth it. It has a setting for close-up photos and distant ones, e.g. landscape or selfie.

The only negative, which ends up being the most important, is that this particular model compared to previous ones does not have shooting settings. You can't choose when you're indoors, outdoors, in dark or very bright conditions. In the light, there is no problem, the photos come out very clear, almost like digital I would say, but unfortunately at night they come out very dark. We end up lighting with phone flashlights or getting very close to the camera. I don't know if it matters, but I have the impression that it darkens dark soils - it makes them even darker. People come out very dark if you don't stand at the right distance, which takes a little time to figure out. For example, we have a photo from the same distance with friends who were tanned from the summer and we weren't, we came out like Swedes and they looked like they came from some African country. You need to figure it out a bit.

Other than that, I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend it. After all, the moment is captured in the right size to remember it, and it doesn't really matter if the colors are accurate

The instax WIDE 400, the first new wide camera from Fujifilm in a decade, produces the largest instax prints measuring 98x62mm. The camera has a simple, fully automatic operation with no manual controls for exposure or flash, which is a step back from its predecessor. It is powered by four AA batteries (which are included in the box) and features a new self-timer for taking group photos on a tripod, but it is only available in this color. The lens is also the same as before, with a rotating mechanism to activate the camera and select between two focusing distances: first from 90cm to 3m, and second from 3m to infinity. The box also includes an accessory for close-up photos, but its design is considered outdated compared to the newer MINI and SQUARE models. It is an accessory that you will likely lose or not carry with you after a while.

Despite its bulky construction to accommodate larger film, the design of the WIDE 400 has been slightly improved, with a relocation of the viewfinder for better usability. The camera retains its fully analog nature, with no digital sensor, screen, or memory.

Fujifilm's decision to simplify the camera means that the WIDE 400 has fewer features than its predecessor, losing manual flash and exposure controls. Instead, it offers a simple point-and-shoot experience, with an automatic flash that activates only in low light. The camera also includes a basic accessory for adjusting the angle of the camera on flat surfaces.

The films are economical compared to Polaroid and cost about 1 euro per photo. They are available in packs of 10 photos.

Overall, for the money, it is a quite honest choice, and the photos come out very beautiful. The size of the camera may be off-putting for some, but if you want wide film, it is the only option.
