The journey to 100 friends begins with a simple conversation.

Socially anxious high school student Shoko Komi has the biggest dream of making friends, but everyone at school misunderstands her and thinks her seriousness is a kind of cold personality. Fortunately, she meets Tadano, a timid wallflower who decides to step out of his comfort zone to help her achieve her goal of making 100 friends.

Tadano's sister and mother are very supportive of his romantic prospects—however, the way they see it, reality has been turned upside down regarding who he's dating! So, it's somewhat shocking for them when he introduces her as his new girlfriend.

Awkwardness takes center stage, but after three years of intensive training, Komi is ready to face the challenge of talking to her boyfriend's family!
