    It is quite a large carrier. The child is at a considerable distance from your back, which does not help if you are going on a long trip. Maybe the smaller one from the same company would be a better choice. In general, from my experience, it is preferable when the child is 3 years old and above (16-22 kg) to walk on short, very easy routes of a few minutes. For me, a smaller (simple) back carrier is better, just for when the child gets tired. If you are willing to do long, multi-hour distances, you will be in pain during the hike in your neck, shoulders, and back. As a product, it is excellent but we do not need it.
