I wouldn't say they are against colic, but it's important that the baby eats at the pace he wants. To check the temperature, just squeeze the nipple to let it drip.

I switched to this bottle for more convenience at 5 months because the previous ones we had had too many parts. The baby accepted the nipple without any issue, and I actually think they drink more easily from this one. Plus, it's much simpler to wash. Avoid the well-known brand with all the parts, it's pointless. Prefer these. Also, not a single drop leaks to make a mess for the baby, etc. They do require care in use and with bumps.
