“The World of the Child – Preschool Age” is one of the three volumes (the others pertain to school age and adolescence) of the series by the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR, which was the result of a collective effort by a group of scientists specializing in pedagogical issues during the preschool age.

Despite the time that has passed since its translation and first publication, it remains an important tool especially for new parents in their efforts to nurture and educate their children.

It has timeless value, as, beyond the specific suggestions for creative activities that objectively related to that level of development and progress, it presents fundamental principles and values that permeate the education of the child, naturally reshaped under the influence of socialist society, which are still relevant today, shedding light on modern aspects, contradictions, and difficulties that arise within capitalist society and are resolved under more adverse terms and conditions.
