The Tamron 28-300mm F/4-7.1 Di III VC VXD is a zoom lens for full-frame cameras with a Sony E mount. It covers focal lengths from 28 mm to 300 mm and features an optical construction of 20 elements in 13 groups, including one XLD element and one LD element to control chromatic aberration. The BBAR-G2 coating suppresses ghosting and flare, while the VC mechanism compensates for camera shake.

The VXD motor supports autofocus. The lens focuses as close as 0.19 m at the 28 mm wide-angle end and offers a maximum magnification of 1:2.8. It is compatible with TAMRON Lens Utility software for computers and Android, which lets you assign lens and camera settings to the focus-setting button and update the firmware.
